Patt has worked in many
facets of the arts throughout her lifetime. Her first experience with
jewelry making was at the age of 13 while in an elective class in Junior
high School. Her first project was glazing enamel on copper. This ignited
her love of designing and she went on to obtain more skills in this
field.
After studying Medical
Technology in college she worked in research as a Microbiologist for
a large corporation. As much as she loved her career in science, she
always kept her love of art active. While working days, she spent a year
of nights at The New York Botanical Garden learning commercial
floriculture. This new career would support her after she moved to Florida
in 1982. This form of designing added to her appreciation of blended
colors and textures. During this time, she also continued her
jewelry designing, now specializing in "funky" earrings that
were sold locally.
Never one to sit idle,
Patt learned to design websites in 1997 and has been designing them for
clients ever since. This adds yet another dimension to her love of art and
design. She exhibits an eclectic career path; just like her style.
